Myth Monday: Black with Brown or Navy

This month on The Daily Diva, we’ve put to rest quite a few fashion myths. Today, we’re getting rid of another fashion myth that especially comes up around the Fall season: You’re not allowed to wear black with brown or navy. Well, the truth is, you are allowed to and you’re also allowed to look really sophisticated when you do.

Black, brown and navy are all neutrals and therefore, can be worn with any other color including other neutral colors! You can definitely wear black, brown and navy together and it won’t look bad so don’t be afraid. For instance, imagine a slim black pencil skirt with a satin navy top?  Doesn’t that sound like a really good outfit? Sleek and sophisticated! The same goes for black leggings and a brown sweater dress.

Now, that we’ve put the myth to rest, we expect all fashionistas to be wearing black with brown and navy come this Fall! Just remember to keep it simple and timeless!

What do you think of this myth? Would you wear black with brown and navy?  Do you know of any other fashion myths that we can discuss on The Daily Diva?
