This winter is the perfect time to show your wild side when it comes to your wardrobe. From the runway to the streets, animal print and tie-dye denim has shown up everywhere, leopard-spotted, python-printed and cheetah-stamped graphics are giving your skinny jeans a face lift.
These styles can be worn much as one would wear regular blue or black jeans, since the print is light and the texture barely there. An equally patterned top or blouse isn’t the ideal partner because it will look like one big blur. Instead, wear these with a thick, striped pattern that is chunkier and bolder than what’s happening on the pants.
To keep things more classic, and maybe less complicated, stick with slightly bumped-up basics. Try a solid orange or yellow sweater, instead of toying with more print. The combination will look fresh and upbeat.

What do you think of these exotic bottoms? They are hitting Dots stores now!

We are loving Olivia Palermo’s bohemian chic style. We were first introduced to Olivia on the MTV series The Hills, as Whitney Port’s work frenemy at Elle magazine, but she was used to being in the spot light from a very young age, mostly as an up and coming New York socialite.
Palermo grew up between the Upper East Side, New York and Greenwich, Connecticut. She attended the American University of Paris for a year and studied media at The New School in New he also launched a jewelry line with Roberta Freymann in 2010. In August 2011, Palermo was invited by Stuart Weitzman to design a shoe for charity. She became a guest editor for Piperlime.com in September and appeared as a guest judge on Project Runway Season 9 in that role. In October, Palermo launched her personal website, consisting of a blog about her travels and fashion pieces by herself and two other full-time writers (wikipedia).
We love this bohemian look on Olivia, proving that you can take this trend from summer to fall by adding a cowl neck long sleeved sweater and ankle boots. Add some accessories like a cognac brown stretchy belt, bangles and a cocktail ring to polish it off.

Over -the -knee boots are all the rage this season. They are the perfect match over dark skinnies or opaque stockings. Blake Lively was seen on the set of Gossip Girl with a a pair that look very similar to a pair from Dots that are in stores now! Grey suede is a great fall color and great fall fabric for boots, and the buckle detailing gives it an extra edge. The OTK boot was seen on all the hottest runways. Chloé featured a lace pair while Miuccia Prada opted for a decidedly more utilitarian style. Be sure to dress a bit more modest when wearing this trend, we suggest no skirts, unless your wearing stockings or leggings underneath, you don’t want to look like Julia Robert’s in Pretty Women!
So go ahead, give in to the OTK boot this season, we are!

Fall is on its way and it’s time to think about heading back to school, which means you need to stock up on denim. This year at Dots our denim is better than ever and at prices that will allow you to buy as many as you can! We have fits for everyone, if you petite, curvy, skinny or tall, Dots can help.
Here’s how to pick your perfect pair:
Figure out what fit you are, are you sexy, classy or curvy. Sexy fits are slim through to the ankles with a low rise while classy is a mid-rise fit that is slim through the thighs to hug your hips. Curvy fits allow more room in the hip and have a mid-rise for a comfortable fit.
Once you figure out which fit suits you best, choose the inseam that works best. Personally, if I really love a jean I’ll buy it in long for when I wear heels to prevent them from looking too short, then I’ll buy the same pair either a regular or short inseam to wear with flats.
Check out our fits now at Dots.com
