Do any of you have fair/pale complexion and find it hard to pick out the right colors that will make your skin color pop? Well not to fear, beauty insiders from Marie Claire picked out the the three top shades that will make a paler complexion glow this holiday season.
The first color you can choose either for eye shadow or eyeliner is a soft purple. Purples are a cool color so they don’t have a harsh contrast against your skin while still allowing you to play with colors.
The perfect pink can do wonders when chosen correctly. Opt for a rosy shade to really enhance your natural beauty.
Lastly, for those holiday parties, add a little metallic shimmer with a liquid eyeliner.

Color
When it comes to hair, it’s always nice to mix it up as the seasons change. Brittany Snow went from beachy blonde to a warm auburn shade. We are daring to try this fun and fierce shade this season because it works well on most skin tones. If you want to test the color out first before making a permanent decision, try a semi-permanent dye in a an a light auburn shade. By choosing a semi-permanent you cause less damage to your hair, and the color washes out after 20-30 shampoos. If you want to darken up for the winter, go with a natural look like Lauren Conrad. She chose a chocolate brown color, but kept a few light pieces for a naturally highlighted feel.
Style
Now that we discussed some hot winter colors, lets talk style. Whether you have short, medium or long hair you can create a nice wavy texture. This look is great if your looking to add volume. Use a bigger size curling barrel to create a natural looking big curl. For a festive touch, add a feathered fascinator which you can find at Dots for under $20!!

Have you ever wanted to try bangs, but weren’t sure which style was right for you?
We have a few quick tips to help you decide which trendy bang style suits you, determined by the shape of your face.

For a Square Face: Try wispy bangs like Lauren Conrad that helps soften her face. They are easier to hide too if you want to grow them out.
For a Long Face: Long face shapes like Alyssa Milano can pull off the blunt style bang! Blunt bangs look ultra chic with super straight stands.
For a Round Face: Try the side sweep bang, which is a universal style that flatters all face shapes. Blow-dry them the opposite way that they will lay, giving your hair a lifted look. Also, by parting off to one side you can create the appearance of a slimmer face. We love Emma Stones’ side sweep look and her mega blonde color!

Spring is starting to get into full bloom, soon vibrant greens will cover the grounds and flowers will be popping up. So as the weather gets warmer, it’s time to change your look. Don’t leave your look behind, check out these hot makeup trends for spring.
Go for the bold with vibrant cheeks
Flushed cheekbones are back, and we’re in love! Cotton candy pinks, cool fuchsias, and corals are the go to colors, apply a fun pink to the apples of the cheeks, like Pink Passion from E.L.F. For $3 you honestly can’t beat it! The color is vibrant and adds the perfect pinch of pink to your cheeks. If you are more of a coral gal go with Smashbox Blush Rush in Paradise to warm up your complexion. This one is a little more at $26 but ladies you do get what you pay for. This gives an amazing glow and is long lasting. Apply the color from your temples to your cheekbones in an arching rainbow. If using a vibrant blush takes you out of your color comfort zone, add a makeup primer to soften the intensity.

Beauty is always a top priority for a lot of our divas. Sometimes a girl just needs to get dress up, look fabulous and own it and you shouldn’t have to pay a fortune to do so either! Makeup and beauty products can cost so much sometimes, it’s ok to splurge on a couple items that work flawlessly, but everything else can be bought on the cheap without skimping on quality. Save money and look fantastic with these beauty buys under $15!
This eye shadow is more fun than a box of crayons! With colors like bright yellows, blues, electric pinks and purples you will have some fun experimenting with the L’Oréal Paris HIP Bright Shadow Duo; it’s only $8 and can be found at most drugstores. Paired in complementary tones, the highly pigmented duos can be applied to look sheer or opaque, allowing you to be as dramatic or subtle as you feel that day. What I love most is the silky texture does flake or melt off like other shadows tend too.
Amazing, flawless coverage doesn’t have to cost you. This formula for Maybelline Dream Mousse Concealer is lightweight; masking all of your imperfections without feeling like it’s caked on. The air-whipped texture blends seamlessly and won’t settle into fine lines. It’s only $9!
Now I usually hate wearing lipstick, it seems like it takes too much effort and you have to constantly be re-applying. That it until I discovered L’Oréal Infallible Never Fail Compact, only $12, it’s housed in a sleek case alongside a moisturizing topcoat, this sheer, enduring stain delivers fashion-forward, shiny color that won’t bleed or flake. It’s durable enough so once you put it on you don’t feel like you need to check it every hour!

As we start making the slow transition into spring your wardrobe will start brightening up a little but don’t stop there, add a little color to your lips! This spring corals and nudes are extra glamorous, while girlish shads of fuchsia works great on nearly any skin tone. Adding a swipe of some eye-popping color can do wonders on elevating your look. Here are our three picks for must-have lip color this spring.
From deep magenta to neon shades of pink, fuchsia lips are replacing reds this spring. Even if you don’t have a ton of time to get ready in the morning this color will have you standing out as the ultimate trend setter. One of our favorites: Max Factor Vivid Impact Lipcolor in Ms. Understood, $9.
Coral is also one of those universally flattering colors, it doesn’t stand out as much as fuchsias but I think it ads a little punch to your spring look. Try Rimmel London Moisture Renew Lipstick in Coral Queen, $10.26.
Also, don’t be scared to go nude! If you are going heavy on the eyes, nude lips look sexy and sophisticated. A glossy nude lips will make you look like you have the perfect pout! It’s also a go to look for Kim Kardashian and Jennifer Lopez. Try Smashbox Photo Finish Lipstick in Flawless, available at Sephora.

Last time I went to buy makeup I couldn’t believe how much it cost! Eyeliners for $10 and $8 for a little palette of shadow, I just don’t see the point in wasting so much money on products I go through so fast. The one thing I do feel ok with spending a little more on, is a good foundation and cover up; if it leaves my skin looking flawless and is long lasting it’s worth every penny! But here are some great ones that I’ve used that do just that and are under $15!
Maybelline New York Pure Stay Powder Foundation, $7.99 and can be found at drugstores. For a powder, this covers all blemishes, redness and any imperfections. It’s great to carry with you because you can just apply and head out the door with a flawless look
Revlon ColorStay Makeup with Softplex, $12.99, found wherever makeup is sold. This makeup lives up to its “ColorStay” name. ColorStay lasts up to 12 hours and looks as flawless at night as it did the morning. Long lasting and perfect for a busy diva lifestyle!
Neutrogena Healthy Skin Enhancer, $11.89, sold at most drugstores. This is more of a tinted moisturizer but it leaves skin looking even and healthy. It also contains retinol to reduce fine lines, and provide SPF protection. It’s not the best coverage, but it’s great for a summer day of if you live in a warm climate and don’t feel like getting ‘made up’.
