Do any of you have fair/pale complexion and find it hard to pick out the right colors that will make your skin color pop? Well not to fear, beauty insiders from Marie Claire picked out the the three top shades that will make a paler complexion glow this holiday season.
The first color you can choose either for eye shadow or eyeliner is a soft purple. Purples are a cool color so they don’t have a harsh contrast against your skin while still allowing you to play with colors.
The perfect pink can do wonders when chosen correctly. Opt for a rosy shade to really enhance your natural beauty.
Lastly, for those holiday parties, add a little metallic shimmer with a liquid eyeliner.

This week for a Dots quick tip, I decided to share a special recipe that our Dots wellness team cooked up! It seemed like a good follow-up to last weeks quick tip on fall moisturizers. I have personally never tried a make-it-yourself body mask, have you lady’s? Good or Bad? Let’s hear your thoughts!
Beauty Corner- Goddess Yogurt Body Mask
· 1/4 Cup Yogurt
· 3 Tablespoons Honey
· 3 Tablespoons Puréed Pumpkin OR 3 Tablespoons Puréed Carrots
To Make: Use canned (nothing added), or slightly cooked pumpkin or carrots. Drain, and purée in a blender. Pour into a bowl with the yogurt and honey.
To Use: Draw a warm bath. Lather your face and body with the yogurt mask. Sink into a warm bath and soak for 10-20 minutes. Rinse in the shower, tone, and apply a light moisturizer.

As fall kicks in, not only do you need to update your wardrobe, but also your facial moisturizer. Right now is the perfect time to start prepping your skin for the harsh cold winter months that are to follow (major bummer, I know). During the winter months, the skin needs extra nourishment so that your face won’t look dry & dull, plus you won’t need to pile on any extra makeup.
Remember; just because you may think you don’t need a facial moisturizer because you have skin that tends to get oily, you still need it! The main reason why skin overproduces on oil, is because it is in need of it moisture and nourishment! Try Olay Complete, a light weight moisturizer with SPF 15 that won’t make you look greasy or shiny.
Look for moisturizers with these key ingredients: honey, green tea, ginseng and vitamins A, C and E.

By hat hair I don’t mean the kind kind you get from wearing a hat all day, I mean how to wear your hair while wearing a hat! As the weather is changing, so is our wardrobe. Not to mention hats make a great classic to have if your hair is behaving unruly. On those cool fall days accessorize your outfit with a cute conductor style hat. You can rock it with jeans or dress pants. Now for your hair we like these three options: wavy hair down, a side braid or just some front pieces out, like Taylor Swift. Each one of these looks is different yet they all look super cute!
Which hat is going to be your favorite style this coming fall?

Many feel intimidated by the flare because they are not sure how or what to wear with them. Here are a few tips on what to do to make you love the flare this fall. One option that’s best for the office is to wear a blouse tucked in with a blazer or cardigan over top paired with some pumps. Don’t forget to accessorize with a detailed skinny belt.
Another option that is totally boho is to wear a flowing top over flares and a pair of wedges or heeled loafers. Heeled loafers are a fall favorite shoe that are inspired by that 70′s/retro look. Plus, heels look great with flares but for your day off the loafer is a comfier alternative, definitely a must!

Have you ever wanted to try bangs, but weren’t sure which style was right for you?
We have a few quick tips to help you decide which trendy bang style suits you, determined by the shape of your face.

For a Square Face: Try wispy bangs like Lauren Conrad that helps soften her face. They are easier to hide too if you want to grow them out.
For a Long Face: Long face shapes like Alyssa Milano can pull off the blunt style bang! Blunt bangs look ultra chic with super straight stands.
For a Round Face: Try the side sweep bang, which is a universal style that flatters all face shapes. Blow-dry them the opposite way that they will lay, giving your hair a lifted look. Also, by parting off to one side you can create the appearance of a slimmer face. We love Emma Stones’ side sweep look and her mega blonde color!
